COUNTRY & WESTERN MUSIC EVENTS
We pride ourselves on delivering the much-anticipated country music nights. Currently we do these monthly on the first Saturday of the month, however we also boast multiple three-day events throughout the year, “Wagons Roll” being our best known. These events all include a plethora of activities for the adventurous attendee to have a go at, they can challenge their own Wild West skills to see how they may have matched up with some of the famous gunslingers Hollywood talk about. We also offer camping passes and event pass bundles at most of events, whether it’s an overnight stay or our three and four day specials, we aim to accommodate everyone.
All of this has been facilitated so members and non-members alike are able to meet each other every month for our "Cowboys 'N' Country" events held in the West Midlands. This is why we’re one of the fastest growing groups, our events are allowing all Westerners the opportunity to form connections and socialize. These events became so popular that 2024 see’s us moving to a new, larger location; this is now the second time we’ve moved to a larger space. On the night we have lots going on from Fast Draw competitions, live music performed by popular Country artists, raffles, games, dancing, and we always have a fully licensed bar. We encourage people to let their hair down, stamp their feet, and just simply enjoy the events. We want everyone, especially families, looking for something slightly different to come and try a hobby that no one thought was even here. We are and we’re eagerly waiting to see you!
So, what does our future hold? We want to host some huge Western festivals in future. We already have our popular 'Wagons Roll', 'Cattle Baron's Ball', ‘Masquerade Ball’ & 'End of the Trail', but we want multiple stages, special guest stars, all of this to keep the scene alive and thriving. What we currently have allows an excellent opportunity for our members and members of the public to meet, mix, and encourage potential new members into the group. Some events feature our members in their best kit, this is formal wear which doesn't usually get showcased on general re-enactment shows or living history camps. These shows are usually featuring day-to-day clothing rather than the 'special' previews you see at specialised events. We don't want the scene to become stagnant or rest on its laurels. We want this scene to keep going from strength to strength.
We also have a large involvement in the ‘Western Week’ events conducted in Brean Sands, Sommerset. We’re now working alongside Unity Resort to bring the best event we can to all attendees. Our members will bring the best of re-enactment, living history and fast draw. This is what the feedback yielded when we asked our members, and general Brean event attendees what they wanted to see. We rely on feedback from everyone to be the best that we can be, without them we couldn’t keep improving. Our aim for the future is to become the driving force the Western Scene needs.
