FAST DRAW

Our group was founded back in 2016 under the name of 'Fast Draw UK'. The founder members wanted to create a place where all enthusiasts of the Old West could find what they needed; this ended up becoming tailored to Fast Draw, and the specialization made the sector strong. They took it back to its roots, explored where it all began, and initiated the same rules and distances that each blank firing piece was set to do. This was achieved by the incredible knowledge of the individuals involved, and with research. They set out to gain all the information that was available, organized all the evidence, and put together a portfolio of information that could be displayed. This was to show everyone that these always were and will remain the rules. We needed to get back to doing this the period correct and, most importantly, the safest way for our members.

Each of our members have thoroughly enjoyed the sport of fast draw and been appreciative of what the team have achieved and how it was relayed. Slowly, consistently, safely and with all the proof in hand. This has not only gained massive support but has encouraged others to get involved. Here at ‘Spirit of the Old West’ our mission is to showcase how this event can be done safely and still maintain the joy of the sport. We want to see our members grow, encourage them to compete and improve over time.  It’s a great sport to be involved in and we are the ONLY group out there that is supported by the two formal manufacturers ‘Trinity Guns’ & ‘Stafford Hill Arms Co’. This accolade shows we must be doing something right.

Fast Draw has a long history; it can be traced back to the American Old West with expressions such as 'quick on the draw'. As a sport, it grew in popularity during the 1960's and 1970's. Our team have a knowledge of current laws and regulations which they are more than happy to share with you. We can also offer training, advice and guidance.

A smokey image. Two men stand in the centre. The one on the left is a taller man, he is wearing a classic cowboy hat. The other is slightly shorter. He is also wearing a standard cowboy hat. Neither outfit can be seen due to the smoke. Both men have fired at a target for the Fast Draw competition.
A woman is standing next to a man. He has his arm around her shoulder and both are smiling. He has presented her with a trophy. The man is on the right, he is bald and wearing green glasses. His shirt is blue, he has black trousers and black shoes. The man has visible tattoos covering his arm. The woman is petite, she is wearing jeans with grey shoes. A brown gun belt and holster can be seen. Her shirt is black with a graphic design, but this cannot be seen. She is wearing a grey denim jacket with patches and a yellow scarf. Her hair is black, but mostly covered by a classic design cowboy hat in a beige colour.
