YOUR ONE STOP WESTERN SHOP. WHY GO ANYWHERE ELSE?
The question we've been asked more than any other is 'why did you change the name?'. There were a couple of reasons, but the big one is to reflect the changes we saw during the pandemic. During lockdown, clubs such as ours had to go digital and a sense of community was lost. Sadly, some clubs lost members during this period, and therefore closed down. The western scene means a lot to us, we want to educate the young people of today in a topic they're not taught about in schools. We also want to provide family friendly entertainment across a plethora of outlets; this included adding a re-enactment and living history element. 'Fast Draw UK with re-enactment and living history' seemed a little long to put on our merchandise, so we sat around a table and tried to sum up this ambition. We wanted to capture the spirit of how people lived in the old west, and just like that 'Spirit of the Old West' was born. We have a fantastic team of people wanting to do their bit and make this group a stand out. Let's meet them.
AIMS, OBJECTIVES, AND ACHIEVEMENTS
We put on successful fast draw competitions throughout the festival. These competitions were enjoyed by all age groups, and all abilities. You don't need to have experience of equipment to join in the fun; a willingness to learn and 'have-a-go' attitude is all that's required.
Some of our members have a talent for horse riding
We're proud to collaborate with Richard Baker, the talent behind an up-and-coming re-enactment based news paper

The slideshow encapsulates just a brief overview of what we've achieved. These accolades include, but are not limited to: introducing a safe and encouraging environment for young people; becoming accredited with the National Association of Re-enactment societies (NAReS); hosting popular festivals throughout the year; and becoming the fastest growing group in the UK. We are insured by a leading provider for our re-enactment events, music nights, and Fast Draw. We are also insured for public participation on the Fast Draw activities so people can try the hobby for themselves.
