Become a Resident
Feeling inspired and want to join our small town? The good news is, it's a very simple process. Using the membership tab (or by clicking the join us button to the left near Cowboy Jack), please take the opportunity to become a member; you can use our character sheet which is available to download by clicking the image titled 'Who will you be?' this comes in a PDF format. We also have our cowboys 'codes of the west' which give an insight into the ways the outlaws, gunslingers, and famous figures of the Wild West would have lived. If you have any queries you'd like to ask regarding becoming a member or taking part in re-enactment, use our chat button which is located at the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
We've also got a list of characters you could choose from below; ideally people would create two characters for themselves. One would be their main persona, the other would be another character they can play if there's a need for variety in a performance. The number of characters you have is up to you, we hope it helps with choosing your outits and props. Example, using the sheets you've decided to be a bank teller - great, it's on the list of characters we'd love to see - so thinking of bank tellers, they dress formally, they'd probably either be really good and attend church every Sunday or they may have a twist to them, maybe they're a secret outlaw. What props would you need to keep in your accommodation, would you have a cabin or tent? Once you've got your character, everything else falls into place. For those who may like that example, feel free to use it, no one currently has either of those examples and all of us at 'Spirit of the Old West' are happy to share ideas and our creative process with our current or prospective new members. You can use the 'Let's Chat!' button in the bottom right to get in touch, and let us know which character you've chosen.
